This is the final entry from our first visit to the nude-friendly beach town of Playa Zipolite.
We start once again at the Zipolite sign. It’s pretty much obligatory that everyone takes a nude photo or video at the colorful town sign. We had fun with ours and are happy to share…
We venture to Playa del Amor (Beach of Love), one of the best places to take in the sunset. It’s an easy hike to this beautiful cove from the main nude beach (Playa Zipolite). We love that we can stay naked for the entire hike.
Most nights (especially on the weekends), you will be treated to some fire dancing shortly after sunset. The show is free, but they do ask for donations, which we happily contributed to, especially since we recorded part of it… We think that if you’re going to take a picture or video of street or beach performers, the least you can do is throw them a few pesos. Or even a few hundred pesos…
We’ve heard a lot of stories about the sexual activity that takes place after dark at Playa del Amor. While friskiness definitely goes on, most is confined to one or two dark side coves. After all, it is called the “beach of love”… Many of the stories of sex on the open beach seem a bit exaggerated. So you can visit Playa del Amor and not be part of that. Or you certainly can… We love that the option is there for those seeking it out, but generally, it’s not in your face (unless you want it to be).
Also in this video is a visit to Chizme Bar and Cafe. It’s a gay bar located just around the corner from Casa Nudista. It’s always clothing-optional, with Friday and Saturday nights being nude-mandatory. We witnessed the owner kick people out for not being naked or for putting their clothes back on after ordering a drink… lol
When we arrived, the pace was slow, but it picked up later. Before long, it was packed with nude men of seemingly every background and age range. We love this! Most of the guys here are on vacation, so they are generally in good spirits, friendly, and happy to chat.
That’s it for footage from our first visit to Zipolite. We can’t recommend a visit enough. It’s a fantastic place with friendly people, terrific food, affordable prices, and one of the most nude-friendly locations we’ve encountered where all are welcome.
